Graybar's Wallingford, CT, Branch is looking for an Outside Sales Representative to effectively sell our products, services and solutions specializing in the electrical distribution market covering the State of Connecticut.

In this ground floor opportunity, you will develop prospects and opportunities for new and existing customers, by calling and visiting them regularly at their site of business or other off-site locations. * * In this role you will: * Meet/exceed assigned annual budgets by building relationships to drive daily MRO sales & End User specifications regarding projects sales, promote selling tool kits, and provide input on new products to add value and effectively sell our capabilities, services and solutions.

  • Learn and promote our CIG National Contracts effectively to achieve business results.

  • Perform joint sales calls with Suppliers, Agents, and our Graybar Technical Resources.

  • Sell E-Commerce Solutions as well as local energy incentive programs to improve quality of light, reduce maintenance and improve energy savings.

  • Participate in training sessions, trade shows, sales meetings, customer events and entertaining.

  • Ensure up-to-date, accurate customer records including reports of business transactions, and entering daily activities and opportunities in Salesforce.

What you bring to the table: * Motivation, passion and drive as a true hunter for sales.

  • Track record successfully building relationships as well as negotiating and closing deals.

  • Embrace the use of emerging technology.

  • Continually shows willingness to learn and develop and keep abreast of markets.

  • B2B sales experience in areas preferred: electrical, security, energy utility, property management, healthcare, higher education, government and/or hospitality.

  • Enjoys being a part of a team, yet thrives independently.

  • Technically proficient in MS office and CRM. SalesForce or SAP knowledge a plus

  • Travel required.

  • 6 years B2B sales experience.

  • College degree preferred.
