Graybar Talent Management Specialist in St Louis, Missouri

As a Talent Management Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the activities within the talent management function including employee recognition, onboarding, learning, performance management, talent acquisition and leadership development.

This position is to be performed fully within an office setting.

In this role you will:

  • Working with members of the talent management team, assist in the design and development of talent management solutions to improve business outcomes; integrate interactive concepts and multiple media into the solution

  • Conduct weekly new hire orientation webinars (The Value of Graybar (benefits) and Spark Your Career at Graybar (culture). Run new hire reports from Workday to use to invite participants. Analyze participation and generate reporting twice/year.

  • Manage Cause for Applause including monitoring field utilization and oversight for annual awards.

  • Support new Sales Learning Plan by reviewing new hire progression through courses during first 9 months on the job.

  • Support Workday Learning curriculum assignment (New Hire Learning Plans) and maintenance.

  • Support other learning needs through video creation and/or webinar facilitation.

  • Support Onboarding within Workday. Assist us in creating additional content to increase manager effectiveness/attention to providing a great onboarding experience.

  • Act as a partner with others involved in talent management efforts.

    What you bring to the table:

  • 5 years of experience in Talent Management, Human Resources, Learning, or related field

  • Four-year degree in HR or related field preferred

    Proficient in:

  • Adult learning and Instructional Systems Design principles

  • Learning design tools and Learning Management Systems

  • HR systems (Workday and ServiceNow)

  • Microsoft Office (Excel) and web conferencing tools (Zoom and Microsoft Teams)

  • Instructional and presentation design skills

    Additional Skills:

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills including the ability to influence business leaders in developing alternative solutions

  • Strong project management skills: able to organize, prioritize, coordinate, implement and manage complex or multiple projects in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment in conjunction with day to day activities while meeting deadlines

  • Ability to build relationships with diverse background and perspectives, consulting with managers and employees to identify business focused solutions

  • Ability to research best practices and propose innovative solutions utilizing learning technology

  • Passion for learning and development
