Purpose * Implement strategy for increasing sales and profits from key accounts to meet or exceed sales objectives; identify opportunities to improve productivity and lower costs. Work with other locations to satisfy customer needs, including identifying opportunities for product standardization, cost savings, and process improvement. * * Responsibilities * Solicit new business, monitor all agreement obligations, give presentations on new products and services, and communicate same with assigned locations and accounts. Recommend changes to processes to improve cost position and profitability. * Serve as field management contact at assigned location accounts; present customer needs and concerns to appropriate employees; assist management in establishing sales and gross profit budget for assigned location(s); assist Financial Department in resolving claims and other issues. * Organize call schedule to maximize sales and reduce expenses. * Attain or exceed sales and profit budget; answer questions regarding Company products and service capabilities, pricing, status of shipments, billings, etc. Relay service needs and follow up on customer requests; authorize return goods; recommend standardization of products to drive down costs. * If primary Company contact at headquarters: maintain existing national agreements for assigned accounts, and serve as primary contact and authority on agreements for assigned accounts.
Requirements Minimum Job Requirements * Minimum of 1 year of experience required: One or more years' progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or operating experience * High school diploma or GED required
Preferred Job Requirements * 2-3 years of experience preferred: Previous Account Representative experience preferred * Four-year degree preferred: Business degree or related major
