Graybar Manager Comm/Data Business in Norcross, Georgia

As a Manager, Comm/Data Business, you will be responsible for attaining or exceeding the sales and gross margin rate budgets for the sales territory and implementing the district's market plans to assist the district in achieving its sales and marketing objectives in the Comm/Data market.

In this role you will:

• Develop business plans that support the Comm Data market within the assigned territory

• Implement the sales management process utilizing sales representative business plans, pre-call plans, and post-call coaching debriefs; establish annual sales and gross margin rates for sales representatives.

• Evaluate industry and business trends for potential impact on the district; identify key business opportunities and potential threats within the assigned sales territory.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and suppliers so that the assigned sales territory is properly positioned within the marketplace; provide guidance and support in the retention of profitable business.

• Ensure the assigned sales territory has implemented effective recruiting, staffing, employee development, performance management, and succession planning programs

• Assist in the development and implementation of appropriate tools and training programs within the assigned sales territory to support the Comm Data business growth.

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum 5 years experience in sales or related required

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Experience in the wholesale distribution industry and supply chain management principles

• Understanding of the impact pricing decisions have on the profit and loss

• Experience with computer systems and related applications and reporting methods

• Business planning and market analysis skills

• Oral and written communication skills

• Negotiation and problem solving skills; ability to think strategically about business needs

• Leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and effectively supervise staff to achieve results through others

• Ability to effectively recruit for key branch positions and build a strong service infrastructure

• Organizational and time management skills

• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to achieve short and long-term goals of branch

• Ability to effectively communicate across multiple internal and external layers of the organization

Pay Details:

The expected rate of pay for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. This position is also bonus eligible, based on specific and relevant business metrics.
