Graybar Strategic Contract Manager I in Maryland Heights, Missouri

As the Strategic Contract Manager, you will manage multiple relationships, contracts and accounts utilized by federal government customers. This role typically supports contracts with actual and potential annual sales of $10 to $50 million.
In this role you will:
Manage senior level relationships with Government customers
Focus on customer service execution. Ability to identify and update policies for seamless sales process.
Foster sales activities to targeted accounts, drive sales growth and cultivate key relationships to promote the Company to contract managers and customers.
Participate in industry activities (shows/seminars/conferences) that foster further sales opportunities with customers utilizing contracts.
Integrate strategic suppliers into the sales process, to drive stronger value propositions in both directions, and monitor results.
Coordinate regular training and updates for the Company on applicable industry trends, contract updates, and best practices.
Schedule regular reviews with Proposal and Implementation team, to make sure SPA’s are current, and identify the new negotiations required to drive profitable sales growth.
Coordinate with internal resources to ensure the Company’s web presence, marketing and communications, and collateral materials applicable to assigned contracts are relevant and current.
What you bring to the table:
Minimum of 5 years’ industry experience required
Four-year degree preferred
Demonstrated success in collaborating with and supporting sales and/or sales management to achieve results
Industry accreditation in market (third party training/designations) required
Extensive experience in contract management required
Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and compliance requirements for government contracts
Knowledge of industry trends in the market and their impact on sales opportunities
Knowledge of cooperative contracts, group purchasing, multiple award task order contracts, and other contract types
Ability to understand competitive contracts in the industry and develop plans to differentiate the Company’s services
Ability collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare winning bids
Mastery of SAP reporting functions.
Experience managing all aspects of GSA Schedules including eMOD, Small Business Subk-ESRS, SIP, CTA’s, LOS.
Experience managing government sales platforsm: GSA Advantage, GSA eBUY, FedMall, FedConnect, DIBBS.
Experience developing and managing BPA’s based on GSA Schedule.
Proficient utilizing Access and Excel.
