Graybar Network System Specialist in Glendale Heights, Illinois

As a Network System Specialist, you will promote communications and data solutions requiring basic knowledge and understanding of Internet Protocol (IP), engineering principles, and applications to generate sales of Company products and services.

In this role you will:

  • Train internal and external customers on the technical aspects of communications and data products and services

  • Assist sales personnel in providing information to customers and employees on new and emerging technology

  • Confer with end users, architects, consultants, and engineers on new and emerging technology and solutions

  • Use sales automation tools to track results

  • Arrange, conduct, and deliver formal presentations on the new products and services

    What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required in communications, data system sales, or application design

  • 2 year degree required - Technical college or equivalent, 4 year degree preferred

  • RCDD certification preferred

  • Knowledge of vendors' communications and data products

  • Oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to exercise good judgment in solution selection for specific application requirements

  • Ability to clearly present complex solutions to non-technical internal and external customers

  • Ability to work effectively with Company management and evaluate customer needs

  • Ability to conduct effective presentations in front of a group

  • Extensive travel required.
